Valerian root: Has been used for many years as a relaxant, mild sedative, and effective sleep aid, especially useful for when muscle tension is leading to or caused by anxiety and/or inability to sleep. One-placebo controlled study investigated the use of valerian and lemon balm combination for 100 women 50-60 years old with sleep disorders, finding significantly reduced levels of sleep disorders in the experimental group taking the herbs, compared to the placebo group (Taavoni, 2013).
- Strawberry: Adds color, aroma, and is full of antioxidants to support the body.
- Rose petals: Pleasant, floral aroma that may help to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
