Tzatziki

This is my go-to snacking dip. It’s made with 5 simple ingredients (not including salt and pepper), incredibly easy to put together, refreshing, and so tasty. Perfect for summertime.

Tzatziki is a Greek cucumber yogurt sauce that is normally served with grilled meats and gyros but honestly pairs so well lots of vegetables- raw, roasted, or blanched. It also goes well with bread, chips, crackers, pretzels, etc. It’s a versatile dip. Definitely stick with full fat yogurt or else it’ll be a bit too liquidity.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups full fat plain greek yogurt

  • 1 cup peeled diced cucumber, about 1/2 medium sized cucumber

  • 1/2 cup fresh dill, chopped

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 3 tablespoons extra virigin olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt + more to taste, if necessary

  • 1/4 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

Procedure:

  1. In a medium sized bowl, add yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix with a spatula until well incorporated.

  2. Taste and add more salt if necessary.

  3. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Keep stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days!
