Tzatziki
This is my go-to snacking dip. It’s made with 5 simple ingredients (not including salt and pepper), incredibly easy to put together, refreshing, and so tasty. Perfect for summertime.
Tzatziki is a Greek cucumber yogurt sauce that is normally served with grilled meats and gyros but honestly pairs so well lots of vegetables- raw, roasted, or blanched. It also goes well with bread, chips, crackers, pretzels, etc. It’s a versatile dip. Definitely stick with full fat yogurt or else it’ll be a bit too liquidity.
Ingredients:
-
2 cups full fat plain greek yogurt
-
1 cup peeled diced cucumber, about 1/2 medium sized cucumber
-
1/2 cup fresh dill, chopped
-
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
-
3 tablespoons extra virigin olive oil
-
1/2 teaspoon sea salt + more to taste, if necessary
-
1/4 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
Procedure:
-
In a medium sized bowl, add yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix with a spatula until well incorporated.
-
Taste and add more salt if necessary.
-
Serve and enjoy!
